It really all depend on if you are taking any kinds of medications, like when I was pregnant (20 yrs ago) I had to take extra iron and some vitamins and also prenatal medications, now I do not remember my urine smelling different or funny or anything but I do remember the iron turning it colors you know making (number twos) almost a black color, but, as for the pregnancies it self making a differences in your urine I really do not think that that will happen or if it has anything to do with it, But if this is your first time(Congrats!!) and if you are worried just ask your doctor, there is nothing wrong with just being careful right? I was like that.

it all depends on what you are eating. when you are pregnant though you have a better sense of smell so that is what you could be experiencing. One time I was driving an I swore I could smell someone smoking a cigar and we passed a man 7 cars up smoking with his windows up in his car. My husband couldn't believe that I could smell that. Pregnancy is weird! It is amazing the changes in your body that you never expected!

Mine always smells differente when I take Vitamins or eat Count Chocula Cereal.

Mine did to tell the truth! also, if you are taking prenatal vitamins they tend to make urine more yellow, and well more "smelly"! (No other way of putting it!) Make sure you drink plenty of water--at least 8-10 glasses a day (my OB/GYN told me to drink a gallon!!) because if you get dehydrated, you could develop infections which could make your urine stinky. To answer your question: Drink more water! and call your OB/GYN if you are concerned!

I'm not sure about the urine itself but due to teh change in vaginal and cervix secretions the odor can change.
