Let's have a look at some of the christian areas in the world and see why they are christian.
Europe
Christianity becomes entrenched as part of European culture as a result of Constantine's wishes.
Africa
European christians invade Africa, kill hundreds of thousands, enslave others, steal land, destroy local traditions and beliefs and replace them with christianity.
North America / Australia
European christians invade, steal land from the native population, nearly wipe out the native population and then come in such droves as to come to completely dominate the area after several generation.
Central America / South America / Phillipines
European christians invade, kill hundreds of thousands, enslave others, steal land, destroy local traditions and beliefs and replace them with christianity.
The spread of christianity worldwide doesn't quite seem as glorious now does it ?
Islam doesn't fare much better.

I agree with you whole heartedly. The sooner we drop all this superstitious mumbo jumbo, the sooner we find world peace. Our citizens are running around like a bunch of schoolkids, yelling that their team is best! My question, " Who gives a rat's a$$ about these superstitions?"
So far, believing in this stuff has brought nothing but death and sorrow.
It's time we start believing in ourselves and taking some responsibility for our actions, instead of blaming some invisible third party.

im sorry but africa is mostly muslim
christianity would have died out at the hands of the romans if constantine had never converted
the difference between islam and christianity is that christianity does NOT teach conversion by war. the people who spread their religion through war were going against Christ's teachings

Not really, but I do believe in something more powerful than myself. Nobody honestly knows why we were put here or if we evolved. If we can't even find the edge of outer space how could we have an answere to why we are here. A lot of christian people are bad people trying to compensate for the crap they do.

Xianity offers an exchange of civilization, individualism, peace for pagan darkness and brutality. The reason it has been successful is that it made/makes life better for the societies in which it establishes itself...

It started out political and has remained political. The Church came right out of fallen Rome and took up where the "Emporers" left off. Instead of calling him Emporer... they call him Pope. It just escalated from there.
