Your best source is the official website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church). Either go to www.mormon.org or www.lds.org. Otherwise, you're going to get a bunch of psycho, false answers on here from individuals who are ignorant in their knowledge of facts. It would be like me, as a Mormon, speaking on the beliefs of the Baptist church, when I know very little about it and have no authority or right to make statements about it.

You're going to get many answers about having a lot of wives (despite polygamy being banned for over 100 years---yes, a century later people still think of this as fact), answers like the one about caffiene above (there isn't church doctrine against drinking caffiene, contrary to popular belief), the one about the Book of Mormon being the Bible re-written (having read both and believing both to be true, I can tell you they are certainly two different books and not one re-written), or the lovely answer above about condemning homosexuals. I'm sorry that person was told that and then took it as a fact that that's what the Church believes. Every statement kbjcw made in regards to how members of the church view gays is utterly false. In fact, there are tens of thousands of gay Mormons. So, rather than believe these ignorant answers, I'd go straight to the source.

go to www.mormon.org for an overview of beliefs and practices. or email me if you have specific questions, and I'll answer you the best I can. there are so many 'beliefs and customs' to the 'Mormon' (better said 'LDS') faith that it would take forever to even start to cover them here. We do believe many things that other people don't, but we have reasons for our beliefs, just like everyone else.

and that plural wives thing in Colorado City isn't Mormon, Polygamy was banned by the LDS church when the Supreme Court made it illegal back in the 1800s, in accordance with the new law. Anyone in the church found practicing polygamy is excommunicated.

Who knows, but I do know that they are some of the nicest people I have ever met, they are super confident, and they often speak several different languages from doning Gods work in impovershed countries. The other thing I know is that they are super fertile. Thir religous belief seems to promote lots of marital sex with the purpose of a lot of little rascals. I think in the future they will take over the world by shear numbers, and convert the rest into Mormans, and because the rest of us are not true Mormans we will be their slaves in the after life. So be nice to your fellow morman!!!!! The may be slave owner some day in the after life.

I dont know too much about them, but I do know that they basically condem homosexuals..even worse than Christians do. I usd to work with a couple of Mormons and they straight up told me that gays should exist, that they are less than everyone else, and they are banned from their "temple' I almost kicked their *** just cuz I have a couple gay freinds and I think that they have a really ****** up way of thinking...
