I'm sure most haven't given it a thought.
They're too busy hating the sin to see the sinner.
They're too busy using bible-rights to oppress those that are different than themselves, especially if it scares the bejesus out of them.
...and if a Christian came up to a gay person and invited him to their church, what's the first thing the gay person's gonna think?
There is no offering of TRUE friendship if it involves pointing out their sin.

I did invite a gay person I knew to my church (he declined). Even though I no longer live in the same state as him, we are still in touch and I have offered him my friendship.
I agree with your point though...We have to reach out and show the gay community (and other communities) the love of Jesus with our actions. It's too easy for them to think of us as homophobic bigots (and a lot of that is our own fault), when in reality we want to show them the love of Jesus.

Let's Do It! I am not saying to just satisfy your question. I am saying it to put forth the true man of God this world desperately needs.
Without a man who will stand up and do the "dirty" work. The the world will never know God and the power of the Love He wants to be displayed in this dark and hate filled place.
SO - LET'S DO IT!

I love the question, and I hope it challenges some people. That message and work of love is much closer to the true love of Christ.
