You been hurt and now there is no trust someone stole that from you and left you with nothing forcing you to have to handle something that you were not ready for so i understand why u don't want to want to open yourself up and that is okay because when the next person that comes in your life that is actually worth your time will open you up without u even realizing it so please dont just close yourself in a box or dont try to display yourself just chill and good comes to those who wait

Just remember the person that is worth
your tears wont make you cry
and what i mean by that is you will love this person
so much it can make ur heart jump by sound of the voice
and this person will love u just the same so they wont make you cry
and if you so happen to shed a tear
let it be a tear of happiness

peace and be cool

HA! I'm going through the very same thing right now.
I have made the decision that my "Mr. Right" isn't that anymore. At first, we had very good communication and now, we have almost nothing.
I don't know WHAT happened. There's a reason he's stopped contacting me. But I really have no clue what it is.
I'm very sad, heart-broken and it's SO hard to get out there and keep trusting people when you just keep getting burned!
I'm a cute, friendly, funny, intelligent person who just can't seem to keep the nice guy. I know I deserve better!
Hey, good luck with your situation. I guess I can't really give any advice, b/c I'm in the same boat! But, I'll be glad to read what others suggest!
The best I can say is just to be careful, don't put your heart out there right away (that appears to be MY problem), take things slowly. Also, do NOT settle for less than what qualities you want in a partmer.

listen take things slowly where u can handle it. don't pressure your self to do it real quick u need time for yourself right now. it has to be a chance that your willing to make as well. some people never open up again after one heartbreaking experience. i don't think thats healthy for someone. it's basically like love, it's a chance someone is willing to make and as soon as u open up that door to love (or trust) it's an open door for that person to get hurt all u can do is live life to the fullest and take chances in life u never know what could happen to you! good luck

That's a tough one. Take a step back and take a close look at why you were burned in your past relationships, i.e., too giving, too needy, etc. Then correct what you perceive to be the problem or it could become more than cyclical. Good luck

If you've met someone you like and feel compatible with that person, it will be easier to open up. But, if you keep your feelings too closely guarded, you will scare the other person away. It's very difficult to form lasting, meaningful relations. Of course, you don't want to get hurt again, and I hope you don't. But, shielding yourself will not help either. Good Luck.

Just be open but cautious and don't make your self so vulnerable. Learn from your lessons

When you find the right person, you'll find yourself opening up to them naturally.
