Yes.
Next time I mug you, just beg for your life, and really give me all your stuff! and, toss that artificial limb over, too!
I can get real cash for that Prosthetic device, on eBay!
Really, don't be too stupid! when you resist any 'force', Sun Tsu said to resist with overwhelming and 'irrestible force'!
So that you can SHOOT the jerk who messes with you, many states have modified the laws, so that you do NOT have a burden to retreat from the threat! Remember that any wounding and /or death of a human usually results in an "Inquiry".
But, you better get some good legal background on it for your jurisdiction, by reading the law, possibly consulting an attorney, and joining the NRA!
I would also read the good and very newest books, by Ayoob, and some other experts!
Remember, carry of a weapon capable of deadly force, puts you into a whole new arena of adult responsibility and awareness.

It's no different from defending yourself with a biological limb, unless you've outfitted the prosthetic with an automatic shotgun, high-voltage discharge, poison gas, lethal darts, retractable 3-foot switchblade or something (or all of them). That might take special permits.

please do. if someone is attacking u it's any means necessary!!! it's just like someone attacking u if u have all your limbs, you are gonna use u'r legs arms, hands watever u need to defend yourself. and using u'r artifical limb is equal as using a real limb, they both are there for the same reasons. and it's yours!!!
