Do Mormons have a Temple anywhere in the Middle East? if not, Does the LDS church have any plans to build any?

Temples are built where there are enough members of the Church to use it and maintain it. Since there aren't that many members of the Church in the Middle East that live there permanently (not military, State department, students, etc.), then it does not make sense to build one there. It would be like the Catholic church building a cathedral on Antarctica. There are just so many other places that are more qualified, meaning that they have more faithful members of the Church that would use it.

I served a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil. There are 9 stakes in Fortaleza (thousands of members), and their closest temple is a day's bus ride away in Recife.

No, there are no Temples in the middle east, they would have to travel to Asia, Europe or Africa. The Temple in the Ukraine is probably the closest. But BYU does have a building in Israel called the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies. At it has been rumored that it could be converted into a temple very quickly if the need or desire ever arose.

no unfortunately we don't yet but we do have a college so that is a start
i think that we don't have one there yet because of all of the problems that are going on over there right now.
