I bought a 3M brand mouse for around $30 dollars that is shaped more like a joystick. Instead of laying your hand on top of the mouse, you hold it like you would a microphone or a bottle of soda. There are a lot of different styles that are better for you than the traditional mouse. If you can't find the one I'm talking about, there are plenty of others. Look for the word ergonomic.

Your going to end up with Carpal tunnel if you dont eliminate that stress on the wrist. I worked in an office for a few years and had the same problem. Took me awhile to get over. You need to get you a mousepad that has a good wrist rest on it. The gel kind feel better. It keeps your wrist straight.

Look at your posture as you use the PC - if it is happening only after an hour or so you have some real aggravation going on there.

Do a search on ergonomics and mouse like this one:

Eh.. there is an equipment; you can buy it the pc-shop. it's used with those who have problem like you. I don know how to call it, but it support your hand when you move the mouse. It's like a water plastic.

You also need to change the mouse pad if you find it sticky.

For immediate relief, shake them vigorously.. for long term relief find a chiropractor who deals with the little bones of the wrist.
