Yes , fanatics do a lot of harm. Also, don't confuse religious with spiritual. Our country was built on principle and christian values. Though I may not be a christian, everyone seems to point out only the bad things they have done. They have also done alot of good in that they built hospitals, feed the poor, help people who have no heat, etc.Sometimes I don't like getting pressured by people to believe the way they do, but you can't condemn everyone saying they are all the same. There are good and bad in every group. I don't think they are saying they are better then you or are condescending. At least they shouldn't be, thats not what being a christian is about. Even though again I am not a christian, Jesus taught that everyone deserves love and respect as human beings. Including you. Whats wrong with that??? But there are some thick headed fanantics who want to force religion down a persons throat and that is wrong. Everyone should be free to believe what they want. Many people fear what they don't know. Don't put down people who are different because you don't understand them. And not being forgiving (and many people misunderstand what that means) hurts the person who hates more then the person they hate usually. Good Luck

Five days after it began, the new conflict in the Middle East has intensified as Hezbollah and Israel struck deeper into each other's territory and claimed more innocent lives.
At least 30 civilians were killed during the latest wave of violence, including a group fleeing Lebanon.
More deaths came as Israeli conducted its first stikes on the centre of Beirut, turning Hezbollah's headquarters into rubble
For scared and frustrated locals, Lebanon's highways have been turned into a tangle of destruction and few petrol stations still operate. Few routes of escape exist.
A convoy of families trying to cross Lebanon's southern border came under attack from an Israeli helicopter near Marwaheen.

Eighteen people, nine of them children, were burnt alive.

this is what religion does

What's your problem? I find it hard to believe that there are so many Christians knocking at your door that you need to be so mean in your question. You don't want to talk to them; don't open the door. You don't want to see their questions/answers; go to another category. I'm sure you can avoid other things in your life that you don't want to deal with. What's so hard about avoiding Christians if they bother you so much? Seems to me you want THEM to leave YOU alone, but YOU won't leave THEM alone.

Welllllll..............to be fair, this IS the religion and spirituality section.

I suggest you go to the social science or other society and culture section if you don't want to be subjected to the beliefs and opinions of the religious.

Because they are, for the most part, very happy with their lives. And like anyone else, when someone's happy about things, they want to share it with others.

You can tell them to stop but they are doing what their bible tell them to do
But I understand if you don't believe you don't believe they should not push it as Jesus say just walk away from those that do not want to hear

Maybe they collect points like we do, when doing missionary work?
2 points for minimal interest.
