I've traveled a bit...but i was just wondering about some cool places that y'all have been to...and also why ya liked the place...

There is a small town in Guatemala called San Bartolo... nestled in the mountains just before the more popular destination of Momostenango. It is a highland town, and gets cold every night (about 40 degrees or so F). I stayed in a beautiful hotel, with private bath, green serpentine floors, airy rooms, and a real bed, for US $4.50! Everyone in the town was remarkably friendly, and a local family of strangers invited my fiance and me to dinner. The next morning, we trekked down to a remarkable series of hot springs that had been channeled into a set of tiled square public baths, similar to Greek style in architecture. The water was just about as hot as a person can stand. Several men and women joined for bathing, or for just relaxing. They also had a larger hot spring fed swimming pool, which was equally remarkable. I cannot remember ever being in a place so beautiful with people so ready to laugh as this before or since! This place is not in the guide books; we stumbled on it by accident. Even though I was living in the country at the time as a volunteer, this night and day still stand out in my mind for being one of the most truly beautiful experiences of my life.

loved going to niagara falls canada side, little bit of everything for everybody. you can walk down the streets,people watch, visit a casino,see the falls, catch the fireworks friday night, hit th e hard rock cafe and shop. hotels are nearby and prices are reasonable. Or, find a small all-sports lake and rent a cottage for a week and explore or just soak up the sun.

I say its a toss up between Las vegas(anytime) and Miami during spring break. Both these places have great summer time activities and perfect settings for singles and couples. Fun is found at cheap rates
