3GP is proprietary. What is it you're trying to do? If I guess correctly, Handbrake will do what you need it to: http://handbrake.m0k.org/?page_id=24 . Some DVDs might give you a hard time when trying to back them up with Handbrake. In those cases, you'll need MacTheRipper to first handle them: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22715

Both of these are free.
