Some societies do eat cockroaches and other insects. In the US, we don't eat cockroaches because we invented refrigeration and grocery stores... plus McDonalds. There have, however, been US citizens who have eaten cockroaches. For example, it is purported that John McCain survived in North Vietnamese prisons on a diet of cockroaches and paste he stole from the arts and recreation room.

Oh, no way. There could be protein inside cockroaches, but they also live in the dirtiest place, such as sewerage. They for sure, eat something from there.

I smashed big cockroaches and their inside is kinda black. Gross. There are other source of protein but much cleaner.

There are areas in Africa that do eat some varieties of cockroaches. For people with many other choices of things to eat the thought of eating something that lives off our garbage does not appeal. This could change if we were faced with mass starvation.

They are roaches for goodness sakes, that's just nasty. There's protein in so many other things why would you even want to. If I wanted to eat bugs, I'd go on Fear Factor.

Suit yourself, but I would never eat one. I understand that they eat certain bugs in Mexico by wrapping them in a leaf, and smoking them, but you would never catch me doing it. It's disgusting enough to just look cockroaches. I used to have a cat that loved to eat roaches, but she's gone now. By the way, you're not the producer for Fear Factor, are you?

Why don't you raise a bunch of them, cook them up and serve cockroach burgers to the general public? I'm sure you'll do very well.
