Is there a loving God that turns his back on callous indifference? Should Christians factor in accountability for the resources they have?Should we begin to judge our wants by the needs of the poor? Are we in a global community, yet? Do we count as our neighbors the countless orphans created by war in Central America?Or those who lost their parents to Aids on the great continent of Africa? What would a loving response to your world be?

Matthew 25:32-46 Jesus seperates the nations by how we did unselfisly for others. Christians have obligations first to their families second to the church families and then to the extended world family! Obligations require WISE use of both time and money.

I´d be interested in knowing, also, what exactly are YOU doing on behalf of those, ´´children dying of starvation every 3 seconds ? ´´ that you mention and why did you choose just Christians, wealthy or otherwise to place the blame onto? Are you not seeing the speck in their eye while ignoring the beam in your own? How do you know that Christians are not helping in any way to curb world hunger? What about the countless foundations and missionaries going all over the world and helping the poor? Its, for example, ´´World Vision`` and others like it supported by secular people, are not the majority of supporters Christians? I´ll be LQQking forward to your answers. God bless you!!!

First of all, there are many Christians around the world who are poor. Do you think all Jews are rich too?

Second, who do you think organizes those campaigns to feed the hungry children of the world? Satanists? Wiccans? Atheists?

Don't buy into the myth that all Christians are wealthy or that all Christians are unconcerned with the physical needs of people. I'm not saying the opposite is true either because there are plenty of examples of Christians who need to pick up the slack and do better. I'm just guessing that your presupposition is made in total ignorance rather than rooted in any published statistic, for example.

As horrible as what I'm about to say may sound, poverty, famine, war, and natural disasters serve as population control. Some economies simply can not support their populations. Does this mean we should attempt to save every person from whatever their fate may be? No. We don't have the right to do that. America, in her arrogance and narcissism, sends aid to other countries while completely forgetting about those starving at home. We interfere in foriegn affairs like we are the world police, trying to justify our actions by citing some danger it posed to our country. The only way we can deal with such issues is to be grateful for what we do have, and to take advantage of its benefits. We live in a land of opportunity unlike any other in the world, the greatest injustice would be to waste it, knowing we have it and others do not.

What do you think about the number of wealthy NON-CHRISTIANS and a child dying of starvation every 3 seconds?

Obviously you need to know what you're talking about. Christian organizations support and feed hungry children/people all over the world. More so than ANY organization in existance.

u know something my friend i feel the same way and i am muslim. did you know if every muslim around the world paid JUST their share of zackat (charity) there would not be one poor person world wide. it sickens me as well. i guess it is the same with jews and christians obviously. i think most people find that with all the corruption who is to know where the money is really going to. even the most trusting charities still tend to spend money on themselves from the money for clothes, food, etc. then there are the charities whos distribute to countries and it turns out the money gets used for killing people instead. i totally see what you are saying. i guess the best response for this is THE PEOPLE themselves need to stand up for the poorer more degenerate of their religion and give the money. it would not help to go there and visit these people in person and distribute money personally but this is not in every ones means. good luck.

Why do we want the wealthy to cure every ill in society? If they did agree to do so, all their money would be spent and there would still be starvation and suffering after it all ran out...because some people refuse to take responsibility for their actions. They cannot afford to feed the children they have, but they will continue to produce more. These people might help by showing restraint and helping themselves...remember...God helps those who help themselves. They need education and guidance...but often, that's not what they want. It's truly a double edged sword. Your almost damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Not only Christians, there are rich from all religions. But unfortunately there is a limit that all of us can do. I am sure that most of us are doing our best to help the less fortunate.

But that is reality - if the world was fair, it would have been boring.

what we can do is to help in what ever way we could than pointing fingers at others - saves more purpose ya?

I believe that anyone who claims they are a Christian should do what they can to help their fellow companions on this wonderful earth. No matter how small. One action can begin to change the world. All it takes is one person to spark a flame in the hearts of millions...

I completely agree. Most religious people turn a blind eye to the problems in the rest of the world. They think the earth revolves around the US, and that capitalism is the only financial system acceptable to God. Unfortunately, it actually only breeds greed and corruption.

As Gandhi said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

And since he led the winning "war" with non-violent civil disobedience against the British for the systemic discrimination of Indian and Pakistani people by the British, I guess he knew what he was talking about.
