When I first became a Christian, I was working as an assistant manager for a large hotel chain. Around 2 a.m., myself and my desk clerk saw a phone on our system being in use in a room that was not rented. It was a huge hotel, and when I went to investigate, I entered the room....the phone was where it should be. I used it to call the desk clerk and tell her all was well. Immediately when I hung the phone up, I turned around and it "felt" like the room was crowded and I became afraid--as though I was in danger. Nothing could be seen, but it felt so packed in the room that when I darted out the door, I had my arm up over my head, like you would do if you were trying to avoid getting hit or ran into by others. It was very strange. Nothing has ever happened like that since, but it was terribly frightening. I had only been a Christian for about 5 days. Have you experienced anything like this before?

yes, on three occasions for sure, I have been physicaly asaulted. once long before I became of the Christian Faith and twice since. It is not all that unusual for those new to the Christian Faith to be asaulted by evil... evil can not hurt one of The Faith Directly but indirectly things can be turned against the new believer. It is a vain attempt to weaken the new faith. If one is truly of The Faith... even just in minutes. evil can have no controle. But still, often there are harasments, sometimes very strong... This is Why the new believer needs to maintain close contact with other believers to help in understanding and resisting these assaults.

I do not speak of these that occured to me as I do not want to give evil any publisity in a forum such as this... most evil is just best left ignored... But if you can not.. then get with other believers... not to forums like this.

I suppose that a lay person would call the entity I encountered years ago 'evil', but that is 'black and white' thinking. Dealing with this entity made me understand that 'evil' is really a subjective thing: it acted the way it did because it was angry at being jerked out of its world, and our world was extremely painful to it. Some might call this thing a 'demon', but it simply was a denizen of a connected 'parallel' universe. I sent it back to its home, which ended the problem.

Other perceptions of 'evil' I've dealt with were actually geomantic phenomena which created ionizing fields that are perceived as 'negative' or 'evil' by sensitive people. Negative ions create a feeling of well being and refreshment (and are the 'ions' generated by air fresheners), and positive ions create a feeling of unease and anxiety. There are places where there are upwellings of positive ions, which create an oppressive atmosphere.

So, sometimes 'evil' is merely a artifact of the geology you inhabit. If you keep having nightmares or 'encounters' in the same place over a period time, it could be the effect of positive ionization. This can be countered by placing a negative ionizing device in the room, or by finding another place to work or sleep.

Yes.As a Christian now your a target and things like that may happen from time to time.Ive come across pastors that teach otherwise but it just makes one wonder how come they aren't dealing with any spiritual resistance ?Besides that I also know all too well how real things like that are and how real of a War we are in as believers

Twice. One night as I was sleeping I felt a heavy "presence" in my room. The next thing I knew I was choking myself with my own hands. I could not move. I could not scream. I began to have trouble breathing. Then I was able only to mouth the name of Jesus and immediatly my hands loosened themselves and the "pressence" went away. Twice this happened. once in high school and once in college. I slept with my Bible for a month. Evil agencies are real. And they do not give up this war easily. But God+me=majority Read Bible for yourself, and Pray, Pray, Pray!!!!

I live in a rural area. My closest neighbor is more than half a mile away. I was surprised to see a car on the road where I live because I didn't recognize it. It stopped in my driveway and two people got out. They approached me and one of them asked, "If you were to die right now, do you know where you would go?"

I felt such an overwhelming sense of evil from these two people.

Yes, and more than a few times this has happened. Since becoming born again under the salvation of Jesus we become an on-going target for all the host of hell to pick on. However greater is He who is in me than He who is of the world. Since Jesus had power and authority over all I just remind these spirits, powers, and authorities of the one who is higher than I....Jesus. They tend to leave after hearing His name.

Yes. Not too pleasant. I'm not too impressed with the devil's attempts to bring me down. He's a mean guy that one.

Yes, got angry at him and told him to leave, and he did. He was trying to take over my daughter, as insane as that sounds.
