Are the religious a bunch of crazies?

Tell me who the religious are a bunch of crazies? It seem like a bunch of so called "prophet" whatevers (christian, jew, muslim and mormon) go a little batty and take a really long walk alone. Then from all the dehydration they start to hallucinate that they start hearing the "magical voices". Maybe all of them we're a little skitzo. Would you agree or explain it to me pleez?

I agree that some religious people are and back their beliefs with a tendency that was already inherent in the to begin with. Unfortunately for God, there is no pre-screening to determine who is a radical and who isin't but obviously, from the way you have baited this question to your advantage, it only goes to prove that anyone can be irresponsable and intrusive with their beliefs.

Some Christians have it wrong in that the bible said that they were to be like "Fishers of men." meaning to cast a line and see what bites... THEN reel it in, a lot of Christians apparently have never been fishing and think it means to throw hand grenades into the water and just take out everything that swims by.

I like the axiom best that says to plant seeds.

If we all discuss respectfully and learn to share, rather than throw around "right and wrong" over something as personal as faith, and learn the beginnings and ends of what your belief dictates to be able to speak and really know what you are talking about and why... Then maybe both sides can come to the understanding of what the pro's and cons of both God and Science provide to the indivisual.

Some of us who believe in Jesus Christ and the bible are neither religious or nuts.

As a Christian, I can answer this with a resounding YES! We are CRAZY for GOD (well most of us anyway). And I wish I could explain it to you but it takes understanding what true love feels like, then multiply it, then add in the Holy Spirit and you can get close to what Christians feel like everyday. That's our fantasy world... the taste of Heaven we have in our hearts. What's cool is that God gives it to whoever wants it! If you decide to learn more, let me know. Be blessed!

Religion is what happens when you turn off your brain and start believing in the delusion of a fantasy world. Once in their fantasy world, it seems the deluded can't rest until they convinced everyone else to join the fantasy world as well. Religion is a contagious delusion.
