Matthew 24:6
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come."
Ecclesiastes 3:8 declares, “there is…a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
War is a terrible thing! War is always the result of sin (Romans 3:10-18). In the Old Testament, God ordered the Israelites to: “Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites” (Numbers 31:2). See also Deuteronomy 20:16-17, “However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them--the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites--as the LORD your God has commanded you.” Exodus 17:16 proclaims, “He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation." Also, 1 Samuel 15:18, “Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.” So, obviously God is not against all war.

Black Man,
There are many prophesies in the bible. There is endless debate among the religious, concerning the exact nature and meaning of them. I see folks running around believing that when the Temple is rebuilt in Israel, then the end will come. Since the "experts" cannot seem to agree on what all this means, why bother yourself with it? I personally try to focus on my walk with God, and let the details of history sort themselves out. Learn the words of the Master. If there seems to be a conflict between His words, and what one of the apostles said, go with Jesus, you will be fine. You certainly won't be saved by the Apostle Paul.

The bible isnt about current events unless you want to take things out of context and then you can make it say anything that you want.
For instance "there is no God" is in the bible. And the line before it says "a fool says".
For most Christians we know the beginning and the end. Jesus wins. Many groups point to present events as if they are in doubt of the future.

There are some insights in the Book or Revelations. The war in Israel is not a religious war between Is lame and Judaism it is really about land. Palestinians were displaced from land they occupied for centuries to created modern Israel. The religious aspect comes from the belief of Moslems that any attack on one is an attack on all. They of course have some historical referance to this from the Christian Crusades.

Re 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Re 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city:Jerusalem, and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
