What you are asking, I think, is what religion he professed, or perhaps into what religion he was raised. Certainly nobody, christian, pagan or not, would own him now, except perhaps Satanists.
I had heard he was originally Catholic, as a matter of fact. I have heard that his mother was a Christian maid in a Jewish household and had her baby out of wedlock, which would help explain his hatred of Jews. In any case, I have repeatedly heard that he was half Jewish. I have also heard he was vegetarian, but I won't hold that against modern vegetarians. (They are tiresome at times, but that would be going too far.)
As to the pagan thing, I think that's because he had some very dark magicians working for him. But then "pagan" is a very generic term which usually just means anyone who is not of an otherwise categorized religion.

He was Lutheran.
Anyone can 'follow' a religion and pay it lipservice, it takes a person with great passion to take the religion to heart and follow it truly and faithfully. As most of the major religions are actually pacifist in nature - that includes Muslims - those that take things out of context and do heinous violent acts are not participating in their religions, they are only doing evil.
The Catholic church never followed Hitler they were some of the first to hide and shelter those running - which is why nuns and priests were thrown into the gas chambers.

Hitler was a Christian by name but not in deed. The Catholic church very quietly supported his efforts at first. Remember, the Vatican is in Italy, and Italy was part of the Axis.

Hitler didn't really like the church I think because they didn't really want to follow him although I think it was the Catholic church that followed him and the others that showed some resistance but I might be wrong.

Hitler was born into a Catholic family, but he specifically rejected Catholicism and he rejected Christianity in general.
