Already been done. So God will not ask to try to take the message to pagans.

Isn't that what the word of God tells us to do,to preach Jesus to the whole world, and if you are killed in the process then your reward will be great.
Mt 12:21 And in His name shall the Gentiles trust.
Lu 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Ac 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Ac 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Ac 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Ac 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Ac 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

First of all If God wants to tell or command anything he would not tell his commands from anybody else. This is only your idea what you think in your mind to be happen. But don't misunderstand that what you think is always right, correct and true. You might be correct or wrong. So don't interfere in others beliefs. Let they do what they think and do what you feel. God is able to decide who and what is wrong and right. I personally think that everything created by God can be worship. We should emphasis on the aim, the object the "God". No matter how and what he worship of. God is everywhere, anywhere, in everything he have created.

I will try to establish communication with the leader of the nation and then tell the leader what God wants you to do to spread the message to the whole nation.

If there is a God, he is not a fool to say this to his disciples. He doesnt need networking for him to be accepted. Let people make their own decision on their God, beliefs and worshipping. Persuasion is not God's way. Ohh yea, you can spread his words of love.

he already did this with Jonah.
And you saw Jonah's reaction.
Once God saw Jonah run, he caught him in a big fish belly and spit him up where he was told to go.
So, I guess my reaction wouldn't be much different. I am a scared human and would not want to tell people I may not like that they need to turn from their sins.
Then after he says "i said do this" i would do it with his strength.

If I received a direct command from God, I'd do it. God would take care of me.

I don't think He will do this!He cares about those you deserve to learn the truth(which is not good). In addition,he want us to live freely,to chose what we think is good for us!!So pagans should live and believe in their own way!
