i am totally naive about this topic. can someone give me a breif summary?

This is a conflict that has been raging for 2 millenia. The simple explanation is that many Muslims do not recognize Israel's right to exist, and will not be satisfied until they have been eradicated. Again this is the opinion of many but not all Muslims.
hfghsshgsfg: Apparently you missed all those recent news reports; You know the ones. Hezbollah kidnaps Israeli soldiers. Repeated rockets attacks by Hezbollah against Isreali targets. Hezbollah declares open war on Israel. Think maybe next time you could put some actual facts in your post. Or would that bust that bubble your living in? Arab countries don't engage in war, I almost fell out of chair I was laughing so hard.

Jews were persecuted by Europeans (especially during WWII and the Holocaust). After the war ended, Europeans felt guilty. They decided to build a homeland for the homeless Jews. The most logical spot was their ancient homeland in the desert. There was plenty of room in sparsley settled Palestine. The British and Americansset up the boundaries and gave the Jews protection. The Muslim Palestinians have reacted violently ever since, gathering the support of other Muslims who have hated the Jews forever and now have a recent excuse. The Israelis are supported by the United States because they are the only democracy in the mideast and because USA is closer to Jews than Muslims. The Jews (Israelis) would like peace. The Muslims love death and will not accept peace.The End.

Two answers both biblical. Abraham's seed. Isaac and Ishmael, both became great nations but the promised one according to Genesis was Isaac. Gensesis 21:18 So these nations have fought and will continue to fight till the end of time. Also Jacob and Esau in Genesis 25 verse 23 Isaac's children. If God predicts they will continue to fight, they most certainly will.

the new president of Israel want to show to his nation that he is a tough man.
Arab countries don't want fight and don't want wars, Lebanon and Palestine don't even have Air Force or technical weapons. so Israel simply take that for advantage. and bombing Lebanon from everywhere. it's about i am stronger than you and u will obey and bow down to me (Israel).

Very simply stated, "my God is better than your God". Jewish verus Islam. A longstand dispute over territory which both sides make claim to based upon religious principles.

everyone is too stubborn and they all want Jerusalem... the Holy City is shared by three religions and stuff and no one gets along because they don't respect eachother.
