Beck's. I prefer the dark.

Since your in Oz, very close to you is the Philippines. Ever tried San Miguel? I think it's one of the most underrated beers in the world. They make a pale pilsen and a dark. They also have a beer called Red Horse. In the Philippines it is labeled as 'strong beer' but when imported to US it has to be labeled 'malt liquor' because of the high alcoholic content. I recommend you try all of these.

By the way, what's wrong with good ol' Fosters' mate?

The Czech 'Pilsener' is one of the oldest and best.
German Bock beer is right up there too.
Just remember, these European beers are not 3% but 11% alcohol content, so unless you want to get totally bombed, you can't drink them like American beers.
Probably can't get them here so you'll have to go over there.

Some idiot said earlier that 'Kilkenny beer' was made in Scotland.. it's not - I'm irish, and from Kilkenny. It's made here - in Ireland!

But, in my humble opinion, the best beer I've ever tasted, and I'm still tasting it regularly is Moretti d'Oro that i buy in Sicily.. yum!!

stella artios. I'd also go with banks as one of the earlier answers stated but you'd probably be hard pressed to get a bottle outside of Barbados
