Yes, it is dangerous - hepatitis can be contracted that way. Burning candles in the house can be dangerous too. If it's just tea lights in a closed container I can't see any harm in it (as long as they are not left unattended) Why is he doing this? Does he feel you are irresponsible with candles?

It is very unhealthy for him to take them swimming there. He sounds like an idiot. And why would he take you to court for burning candles? As long as your kids can't get burned I don't see a problem. If you can't communicate with him you may need to take him to court over letting you girls swim near sewage.

Oh no..First off let me just say I'm glad he's your ex..secondly it's is very dangerous not only for adults to swim near sewage, but even more dangerous for children. There are millons of bacteria in sewage water. They can can many forms of hepatitis, just by stepping foot in that disgusting water. Aong with anything else floating around in there. Try to make it clear to him that he is endangering your two little girls.

That's just disgusting, and YES its dangerous there are some really nasty bacteria in sewerage that can make you very sick and in some cases can be fatal especially in small children. I would not let my children near the place again!

ermm well, on a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being the max danger, I think it would rate 20. The most stupid place for anyone to go swimming.

i understand your problem too well i come home from work smelling of Bull S*** every day. How i deal with it is simple, i start to drink and i drink and drink till i cant smell anything and don't care even if i do . But i strongly suggest you get yourself around to where they live and use their bathrooms whilst performing a series of somersaults and other acrobatic trips this will evenly distribute the very stuff they were unwilling to help you clean up. and as for nudie bars give em a miss they are for folk who don't smell of s***.

It might be possible to get an accurate assessment of the levels of pathogens in the water from the local council or water company. Solid scientific evidence is what you need in court! However, most important is the children's health!

One question: Does he get in too? 'Cause they're swimming in more-than-likely waste waters. Find out if that particular pipe or area has had any problems or if there are reports of what is exactly coming out of the pipes. Sometimes they are not in use so maybe you get lucky. But.. HELL NO I wouldn't let my kids in that water.. Nope no way.

The danger is exactly equal to burning candles in the house.

Are you sure they're sewage pipes, and not storm drains? Sewage has to be treated before it's released. Chances are it's just a storm drain pipe, but it'd be good to ask your town/city offices what they are exactly.
