It just annoys me that some can't seem to just answer questions and not name call, belittle or point fingers. Yet, they find themselves offended when someone reciprocates.

Fine, we don't agree. But do we honestly have to tell someone they're an idiot or sad because he or she thinks differently than we do?

Wow...other than Nerdly Stud's fine example of what I meant by reactionary, I'm pleasantly surprised by the initial answers.

Okay, Sun Pekes, as a Christian, I agree that we are called upon to witness to the 'unwashed masses," HOWEVER, that has never meant we should rail upon them, pushing them further from Christ.

totally agree , if people cant answer questions simply based on their own thoughts in an intelligent manner then i don't see the point of them even answering
whether the thoughts are the same or different to those asking , the conversations and intelligent debates is what makes this board what it should be ... a learning experience for all who want it
shame not everyone can manage that

When discussing beliefs, it's all right to disagree and point out areas of disagreement but I think insulting the PERSON or name calling is crossing the line.

we don't have to call them an idiot.. we should respect other religions i agree with you. some people are too stubborn about their faith and try to shove it in people's faces... not realizing that they are actually pushing someone away from God. Hopefully one day everyone will get the concept of respecting other's religions

In our beliefs, we follow Christ and what he told us to do. And, that is to search out his sheep, and feed them intellectually, spiritually, and if necessary with actual food on the table.

You are evil and going to burn in Hellfire forever. You better repent now. I will pray for you.

Right on!

Reminds me of someone who asked me 'are you faithful to anyone!?' in response to my question asking if their was virtue in believing something without evidence (aka having faith).

I just don't get it sometimes. *sigh*
