Even before The Da Vinci Code (which I've read and seen), stories abounded about their honesty for many, many years, which is why Dan Brown picked up on it and wanted to write about it - to get more people to see that the Church is not always honest. The book and film didn't change my views, just supported them.

Nope, for a couple of reasons. One, I've never thought of Catholism as really being christianity. Too me it seems to be a watered down mixture of Christianity and Paganism. Nowhere in the bible does it mention a Pope.

Secondly, I know the Da Vinci Code is pure fiction. There is absolutely no truth to it, whatsoever.

As a Catholic, I was neither offended by the Code, nor did it change my opinion of the Vatican. Much of the teachings of the Vatican I simply ignore. Although some of what Catholicism stands for I agree, like Fundamentalists of other religions, the Catholic church exalts itself as a foremost authority on what is good and what is evil without removing that giant Redwood in front of it's own eyes. No, the movie changed nothing.

Dan Brown, on the other hand, who claimed his book as truth, I heard he and Ann Coulter had a baby together. They named it "Chucky"

I've always thought the Vatican was, like any group who is trying to control a large population, hiding information from the general public...dark secrets they would go to great lenghts to protect...so no, not really.

well, whatever anyone has to say, the Catholic church is the only one whose founder is Jesus Christ himself. All other churches have man made founders, they come, they go; but church of God prevails forever.Forget the da vinci; even the heavens and earth shall not prevail against our mother catholic church.
