I don't look, 'cause dry paper will never completely clean one's bottom, no matter how much you wipe.

After the dry paper, I use either baby wipes or wet paper towels. I keep using them until it is completely white. One isn't enough, you have to do this at least three times. So no, I don't look at the dry paper, but I do look at the wet. Only with water can you get clean, dry just won't cut it. After that I dry up with a dry paper towel. When you stand up, you notice the difference. Nice and clean!

Btw, don't flush the wet wipes unless you like a clogged toilet! Get a plastic bag and designate that for the wet wipes. Fold the wipes tightly, put them in the bag, and tie it off.

I learned from Answers recently that there are some countries where the sewage pipes are so narrow that you have to put the used papers in a bin next to the loo 'cos the paper blocks the pipes. Imagine the smell from the bin in a public toilet!
People in those countries get to check out everyone else's used paper too!

It depends. Do you look at the paper after you get done wiping your bottom.

Great question!
I'm a yes as well - partly force of habit - just irresistible;
partly practical - as other respondents have said - how else will you know when enough is enough.
I guess you could just stop when you reach the end of the loo roll - but this would be expensive & non eco-friendly.....so just take a peak.

I admittedly do look. It's not to be gross or sick, I just want to know what kind of product I'm getting out of each wipe. When the production stops, I stop wiping.

You have put this in the wrong section, try Mental Health, there are many illnesses that have anal fixation as a feature.
Where I come from it is just not polite to talk about your doings!

Etiquette is the interaction between 2 or more people. Who's in there with you? Wait....I'm really not interested.
