I think as a society there are serious issues concerning what is 'attractive', 'desirable', 'sexy'. This has been going on for many years now...Madison Avenue has dictated to american women in particular, how they should look, hair color, body type, breast size, plastic surgery, etc, and many have fallen for the hype. 'Blonde's have more fun'. A TV commercial I saw recently. "I was a size 10, now I've lost weight and am a 4." What's wrong with being a very slender 10?!! No wonder we have children with eating disorders and people who believe they have to alter their appearance to be of 'value'.
If mothers spent time with their daughters and taught them that their true worth, their value as a human being was INSIDE and not outside, I think people would be happy with what God gave the.

My hair is naturally a brownish color that turns very blonde in the sun very easily. As a result, my natural hair color lookes like I bleached it and let it grow out for a couple months and looks awful. I dye it to fix this problem.

I personally color my hair.Just because I'm growing white hair at a very young age....though i most confess its hereditary but i just personally like to make it natural not because of fashion or to be attractive.I know of a particular lady that likes it but Have got nothing to do with her.I think it is a personal thing---what do i mean! some do so for different reasons!I m beginning to think i should stop the dying of my hair.

Wow, this question sounds like a metaphor for something much bigger than just hair. I have never dyed my hair, but I've definitely changed other things in my life. As they say, Variety is the spice of life!

I have brown hair, as do most people. Would it be more desirable for everyone in America/Europe to have the same hair color, like everyone does in China? Boring.

I am naturally brunette but I dye my hair auburn because I look better and it looks natural. My skin looks better also with auburn than my boring brown. It's all about feeling good about myself. No shame in that.

it's fun to try new looks. however, it gets old. i've been dying mine since i was 11 or 12. Now that i'm 21, i don't really dye it anymore. I've already did all the colors of the rainbow.

I have brown hair that started turning gray at about 30 years of age. I died it not to look so old! Now, hell, I have really gray - white hair, and am going bald! I gave up!
WE die our hair to "look" better! That's it.
