Taking communion doesn't make you a cannibal. It is a ceremony for Catholic's to acknowledge that they are only lowly humans. Maybe you have to agree in theory to eat a little meat, but vegetarians get more (traces) of meat at most restaraunts with grilled or fried food. There is no actual flesh-food involved with communion so its pretty hard to be concerned about. I suppose it would be acceptable to disagree with it on principal, but I doubt a faithful Catholic would worry too much about it.

Yes, they would be hypocrites. As a Lutheran, the other Catholic, I believe that it is the true body and blood of Christ my Savior. Other Lutherans will I'm sure disagree with me as we have many different offshoots of the religion. If I were a vegetarian this would be a time when I would have to bend the rules and still take communion. Being a hypocrite will not get you sent to hell. Faith supersedes lifestyle and within that rule you can find a personal balance.

why do you think that Christians believe they eat the real body and blood of Jesus Christ, only Catholics believe that. you see when Christians (or at least Christians who aren't corrupted) have a uh communion it is only a representation of Christ dying on the cross but never should a "good" Christian say they actually eat the body and blood of Christ because we don't have to. there is only one way to get into heaven and that's by getting saved. ask if you wanna know what saved means. c[;

Research before asking this question. We don't all believe that we are eating the real body and blood of Christ during communion. For most of us, the bread and wine is symbolic--just as Jesus used them symbolically during the Last Supper.

SO...to answer your question, no, they aren't hypocrites because the bread and wine are not flesh.

I whant that God forget you,because you don't understand the Truth.
Jesus is also Light and He is comming like a Great Light, in every church and Transforms the bread and vine in His real Body and Blood,which are hide in the Light, which we don,t see now,and gives to us his beautiful life,which is believe,hope and love.
The Cristians feel this new life .
Try it and you don't will be cheerless more.
In the Bible Jesus Shows His Light Face.

Christians don't believe they are eating the real body and blood of Jesus Christ. Only Catholics do this. Why? I don't know......Christians do it as remembrance to Him......Jesus Christ......Communion..... The Last Supper.....

The body of Jesus is symbolic - a spiritual taking in of the divine via a ritual that uses the very act of human life (eating, to sustain us) with the emphasis that our animal nature (again, needing food to sustain it) is not our only reality (therefore, our spiritual aspect is 'fed' the 'spiritual body' of the Christ).

Christians are no greater hypocrites than any screwed up religious nuts. I once worked for a group of Hindu businessmen who owned a chain of Burger Chef hamburger joints!
