Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available. Yes he can have the bones, but be careful, I once took my dog to the vets and they told me not to waste money on the expensive dog food because in most cases the food was to rich for the dog, they said by the cheaper cereal food, and biscuits, but don't over feed I feed my dog just once a day, and on Sundays he has what we all have as a treat.

Look at the labels on the dog food bags. The first ingredient should be meat, not corn.
If you are not feeding him the food that he is used to, changing food abruptly can cause stomach upset, so be prepared. If you are feeding him the food he is used to, they change it slowly. Start with 90% old food mixed with 10% new food. Decrease old and increase new food taking at least a week to completely change over to the new food.
