alliens possibly excist? And God doesnt? Well, God is the only explenation for life as it is. Even evolution cant tell you what was before there was anything. Matter just magically pop up to them. No explanation whatsoever.
If there are aliens (which I doubt) then your still stuck with the question where did everything come from. There has to be something eternal. From nothing comes nothing. And since someone had to start something, it has to be intelligent. Cause intelligence is the only thing we can think of that set things in motion without a previous cause. So by simple reasoning God has to exist and be someone and not something.
aliens or not, its no matter to the question if God exists. Its only putting the problem one step away. Cause if aliens made us, then what made the aliens and the universe they live in?
So far though we have no prove of any alien life existing.

If he existed at all he would most likely be an all-powerful alien masquerading as a god, just like when the crew of the Enterprise met Apollo.

Alien to that area. The OT god is based on the Anannaki, who were in that region mining gold.

There are theories that say just that.. That god or the gods are far more powerful beings. They could also believe in more powerful gods too! and so on..
If ants believe in god then we humans are responsible, because when we spray them it's doomsday to them isn't it?
anyway, read gods of the new millennium by Alan Alford, a lot of garbage but fun to read.

The aliens may have been regarded as gods, but those who believe in God, do so on pure faith. They don't need evidence......
So I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here.

Yes. I also think the one looking after us is nothing more than a caretaker left behind when the real brains in the outfit went on to create computer games.

hell yes. it is entirely possible, particularly since we have no evidence to the contrary. alien technology would certainly explain a lot of the "miracles" in the bible, especially the healing-related ones. also jesus' references to his "father in heaven" could be a little more logically explained - god was jesus' father, who hung out in the mothership. when jesus pointed up and said "he's up there" people just misunderstood him as meaning heaven.
of course, i could be wrong. this is all just conjecture here. but intriguing nonetheless.
good question :)
