Oral Anti-Biotics take about 48 to 72 hours to really start working. The dizziness could be coming from the pain killers. But if it has doubled in 24 hours. I would either try and get a hold of the dentist. Or go to the ER. They can give you an Anti-Biotic shot that can kick in within any where from 8 to 12 hours. Good luck. And I hope you get better.

An abcess takes a little longer than average infections to start feeling better. It can take 3-4 days. Wit hthe dizziness, it is good to check with a doctor or pharmacist about that. It could be a side effect that can be minimized by doing something different.

if your face is swelling and you've started the antibiotics haven't started to help than its time to go to the ER. the antibiotics you were given may not be the right dosage or you may just need another prescription all together. The infection itself could turn into a bld infection so go to the ER and take your prescription bottle with you.

Hopefully you are on antibiotics already. You need to get to the dentist immediately and have that tooth removed. Infection sounds like it's setting in and can cause further problems for your other teeth. Good luck to you

go ASAP to the dentist and don't take antibiotics until a doctor has prescribed you such medicines. self-medication sometimes does more harm than good. until then try drugs containing codein or ibuprofen but don't OD

I nurse in a hospital, and sometimes the oral antibiotics dont work effectively enough and it takes IV antibiotics. If your face is swelling up, it is time to go to the ER at your local hospital and bring your medicine bottles with you.

if you are dizzy the infection has reached your brain. you can die from that and it can cause permanent brain damage and even coma if not taking care of.
you may be having an allergic reaction from the antibotics , maybe the unusual swelling is because of an allergic reaction.
