Yes the economic burden is overwhelming, but i think it is more of a cultural battle. The immigrants do not want to become American. In every town where they reside the create spanish ghettos. The Americans move out to the suburbs leaving only the poor and elderly behind. Once clean and safe, these new barrios become a mirror of their hometowns in their latin american countries. They are the least common denomonator and unfourtanetly, We are forced to lower our expectations and standards to meet their level. Remember, It is better to live in a slum of the US than in their countries. Theses people are not the educated and cultured of their countries. The are the poor and lowest class. The are eqivalent to our white trailer trash and gangstas from the hood. They don't care about the future, only today, while feverishly holding on to their past. They care nothing about cleanliness and order. The have no concept of "nice". They have no pride in thier homes or neighborhoods. Trash litters the streets, dirty upholstered furniture in on their front porches, their windows are filthly and they don't mind sharing their homes with 20 people and thousands of cockroaches. I have see first hand what immigration has done to my town's center city. Their schools are now amongst the worst in the state. We try to teach the children of parents who don't care, The come in not speaking english, have behavioral problems and hygene that shouldn't be acceptable in our country. The surburban schools cant keep up with the wave of families fleeing the inner city. The hospitals are burdened with people who can't pay. Basically, it has turned my city where I grew up into a sh** hole.
There wouldn't be a problem with this wave of Latino immigrants if the were just to realize that they need to assimilate, raise thier standards to achieve the American dream, don't have children just because they can(WE HAVE BIRTH CONTROL FOR FREE),keep their neighborhoods clean, value education, value creativity, and the art, music, and history of the western world. And finally, SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!

The effect it has on the morality of the country. So many people coming into the country with no sense of truth and honesty. So many people having unprotected sex. They have many children with different women and don't feel any obligation to raise their children. They pass sexually transmitted diseases to unexpecting americans at a much higher rate than citizens.
They can't work legally, so they steal billions of dollars from citizens at an alarming rate. I mean what is it that you think they are doing all day and night? Every year in my neighborhood, trucks and gardening equipment are stolen so frequently, that most people just give up and hire "illegals"
I'VE LIVED IN NEIGHBORHOODS FILLED WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS, AND I KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON.
Most people are clueless as to what is going on in these neighborhoods. The media, predominately owned and operated by Democrats, totally misrepresent the negative effect illegal immigration has on this country.
THE TRUTH WILL NEVER BE TOLD, AS LONG AS THE DEMOCRATS OWN THE MEDIA.
They'll say anything to get more democrats in the country. That is so sad for a country who claims to have freedom of the press, but rarely allows non-democratic ideas to be heard.
WATCH OUT, YOUR FREEDOMS WILL BE THE NEXT TO GO.
IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE "ILLEGALS" MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS IN THIS COUNTRY. AS SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED THE ELECTION IN LOS ANGELES, LET ME TELL YOU THAT THEY VOTE IN HUGE NUMBERS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR LEGAL STATUS.
YEA, THAT'S RIGHT!!! THEY VOTE!!!
DON'T BE NAIVE. THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT(THE DEMOCRATS) MAKE SURE THAT THIS WILL CONTINUE BY MAKING IT ILLEGAL TO ASK FOR PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP TO VOTE!!!!!!!!!
*************DID YOU KNOW THAT? I DIDN'T, UNTIL I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES.******************************************
WAKE UP AMERICA, DON'T WAIT UNTIL SPANISH IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE AND YOUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE ALL RELATIVES OF "ILLEGALS"
OH, WAIT, THAT'S ALREADY HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAYBE YOU'RE TOO LATE!
I HOPE YOU LIKE LIVING ON RESERVATIONS.

It's insustainability. It'd be nice if we could have an open border program, but it just can't be done. Injecting more labour into the economy won't work unless there's the economic growth to support it - so immigration needs to be tailored to supporting economic growth. Therefore, my answer would have to be the unemployment and negative multiplier effect on the economy.

They are bleeding healthcare and other services dry.
TRUE STORY: I was in Kroger yesterday and the Hispanic woman in front of me in line completely paid for her full cart of groceries with WIC. She spoke no English. She had 2 children with her. She then walked over to a lottery vending machine and bought at least ten dollars' worth of scratch off-tickets.

The cost of supporting them. The fact that people have been waiting for years to immigrate legally and these people think that it is okay to take advantage of us.

My issues are its costs us 68 billion to support them, they are taxing all of our resources to the breaking point , and they are criminals and put our nations security at risk. Other than that, not much.
