I think Mr. Lewis is a great writer of "allegories." Another one is Hannah Hurnard who wrote "Hinds Feet on High Places." For so long many Christian authors could only write books about what the Bible said and about what they thought it meant. Today there are great Christian Fiction authors. Two of them are Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. There are many more and if you go to Books-A-Million or Barnes and Noble you will find entire sections in those stores with great "Christian Fiction" sections for Christians who like to read other things too. Hope this helps.

He did a lot of theological writing as well. In fact, you can see major Christian influence in his fantasy writing. Take the Chronicles. The witch is the evil person, they refer to humans as 'sons of Adam' and 'daughters of Eve'

He was also a writer of Christian apologetics, and considered one of the best (although his arguments are thoroughly repellent to me). Try "The Screwtape Letters," it's hilarious and insightful about the true nature of Christianity.

Some say his literary art is a parallel of Christianity. That Aslan is figuratively Christ. It is all how you look at it. Many will read and see only the entertaining side.
