Every country has some terrorists in it, even the united states. Also not all terrorists are Islamic, and not all Muslims are terrorists. In fact I believe the vast majority of Muslims are average people just trying to live their lives.

Pakistan has supported America's anti terrorism initiatives, so from our current standpoint we do not consider them a terrorist state.

I can understand why India would consider Pakistan a terrorist state just simply because there is an old feud between the 2 countries. They are their own worst enemies literally.

As for Hamas. Hamas was elected by the Palestinians not the Pakistanis.

Can there not be a discussion on here which doesn't include the crackpot statement that the Bush Administration carried out the 911 attack. This is the fantasy of a group of fanatical bloggers with little to actually support there case, except half truths and distortions of the facts. This contention has been refuted by respected scientists and eye witness accounts. Furthermore, in order for the government to carry out such an attack, Hundreds if not thousands of people would have to be involved. Anytime there are that many people are involved in anything it will not remain secret.

well Pakistan was considered a "rogue" state previouly because of all the talk of it supporting millitants as well as the Kashmir conflict. but seriously the country has done a lot to combat terrorism as well as to introduce democratic reform and also mend ties with traditional enemy, India.

Pakistan is currently an unlikely ally of Bush in his attempt to bring peace to the Mid East. Pakistan is also very strategically located. With neighbours like Afganistan and Iran, it certainly has many purposes for the American president.

Many cheers and love.

Firstly, thank you Bryrose for your answer. NO THANKS to the racists who answered...

Has anyone who answered negatively actually ever been to Pakistan?

Its not a terrorist country; its a great country full of people trying their best to dig themselves out of the poverty Britain put them in. Britain by the way, robbed many countries during the time of the "British empire", did you know India and Africa used to be incredibly wealthy countries with no poverty?? Look at them now- Thanks Britian!!! (And now Brits have the nerve to say to third world countries- you're poor because you're not as clever as us and we wont help you).

Back to the question- no, Pakistan has a good government now, so apply your "brand every Muslim nation terrorists" brush elsewhere...

No, it's not like that. Actually Pakistan is on the horns of dilema. Since it has made a great mistake by joining American block soon after it's independence. so it has to become companion of America, i.e War Against Terror( Actually War to spread terror around globe and show the wild supermacy of America to globe).

1) I think it's a country where the elected government and its agencies can barely maintain civic order in some places, and don't actually govern at all others.

2) The U.S. needs allies in Muslim nations. Pakistan is the only Muslim nation with nukes (so far). You do the math.
