Zeus and Athena are archetypes, and can be believed in in this somewhat fictional way. Jehovah said have no other gods before Me, not have no other gods. Some Christians might get upset if you emphasized them too much, though.

Let's put it this way, if you feel it is right to believe in Zeus and Athena, that is all that matters. But, according to Christian laws, it would be wrong to do so. But any and all dogma takes a backseat to your own feelings. All that matters is what you think, not what others think.

Think about it like this, God became angry with the israelites when they started to participate in idol worship. If he was jelous because they were worshiping idols. How much more upset would he be if you were to believe in Zeus and Athena and other Gods?

Seems you may be in doubt of your spirituality. I am a Wiccan and follow Druid Philosophy ( don't wish to get blasted here, as even the Bible says Do Not Judge ). People refer to God as " he " and I ask how ? All seeing, all knowing and the most perfect, needs no sexual origin, just simply is. We've all been taught or trained to not question.. There needs to be a balance of all things, bar none. You are thinking of Greek Gods. Though not etched in stone, easier to follow your own sect. IE > I'm Scottish/ Irish, so I follow Celtic. It's all about choice. What goes around comes around and not always in this lifetime. I could go on forever, as I as well as my husband teach Wicca and Druid Philosophy. I am HPS, and he ( the other half of the sky ) is Hp.
PLEASE, I don't want to start Holy Wars here. We all believe in what we believe in. Wicca happens to be sadly one of the most understood.. You can e ~ mail me >
lunarwhisper@hotmail.com.
All I ask is simple... NO bashing letters, as it's not worth the energy.

According to the bible you have one and only one GOD , so u'r "not allowed to have any other gods", but this is a clisee, Why? If you where a good christian you would have never asked this question, and because you did, that means you're an ignorant. I have nothing to be sorry about, this is the truth and if you can't handle it, you could try converting to islam.

The 10 commandments say thou shall have no other god's before me. Your god is what ever you put first in your life. You can believe that other people worship those gods and God has given you the choice to worship them instead of Him, but scripture says no man can have two masters.

Nooooooooo. First commandment covers that. "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me." I think it also assumes, thou shalt never have any other gods period. He's a jealous God.
