So many of you have some awful, hateful views of Christians. Who are these people you have met and discussed Christianity, heaven and hell with? SORRY you've been turned off from Christ and feel that Christians are hateful and thinking you are going to hell...SINCERELY.
Now to answer your question: It is not the DOING that gets you to heaven. You are supposed to be obedient to the bible, but it clearly says that we are not saved by WORKS (doing) but by believing in Christ and asking him to forgive us and be our savior. So, if you have accepted Christ, then you are saved, period. Nothing you DO or DON'T do, except blaspheming the Holy Ghost will ever take that from you. Grace is what saves and an understanding of grace should CAUSE you to want to live a holier life. But people could never quite get that part right, hence Jesus left heaven and came to die for our sins so we COULD go to heaven. Absolute truth.
Peace.

It is basically impossible to always do what the bible says for you to do. If you're Christian, you've accepted God and that is pretty much the main part of "being" a Christian and supposedly going to Heaven (but just accepting God doesn't mean you are acting in a Christian manner). Basically, as long as you have morals and admit to God when you do something wrong and ask for forgiveness, you would go to Heaven.

doing what the Bible says is the absolute being of being a Christian ! - you cannot be a christian and not do like the Bible says - and when you realy are a christian - you wil want to do what the Bible says - that's just like that- !
there is a huge difference between claiming to be a christian and living it ! God bless

Your answer is found in the Book of Romans in the Bible:

"Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more kindness and forgiveness? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we became Christians and were baptized to become one with Christ Jesus, we died with Him? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives."
Romans 6:1-4

Christians are not perfect though and we mess up continually, daily. The true sign of our faith though is what we do afterwards. If you repent (pray for forgiveness and try to turn 180 degrees from your sin) then that is what Christ called of us. The amazing thing is though that Jesus forgave all our sins, past present and future. We must live for Him daily! We must repent and turn to him all the time, and we must love others as we love ourselves and God. Christians have the assurance that Christ has saved them from Hell, and if they honestly desire change in their lives then God will transform them and "sanctify them".

Christianity is not a get out of Hell free card, it is a lifestyle transformations. We are made new creations in Christ.

So even though we fail in always following the Bible correctly, we are saved by Gods grace and can continually try to do better.

I hope that answers your question.

Your destination is not determined by what you do but by who know. Most people don't even know the meaning of the word, they think it is a religion, its not-- its a life style. The translation t is Christ like, or to live a person's life as closely to the example of Jesus Christ as humanly possible. The only thing that could prevent a person from going to heaven is rejecting the gift God gave us (John 3:16-18)

If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, and you are not obedient to him you will go to heaven, but your life will not be as full as it could be if you would trust and obey

If you have not accepted Christ as your savior and you are as close to perfect as man can get, according to the profit Isiahi, your still going to hell.

I think you will still go to heaven if you are a good human being and won't do those things that Bible forbids you'll go to heaven.Rest of the guys I'am sure God will definitely show them the right path and ultimately end up with God .Nobody will permanently be at Hell and God will never permit, for we are all his children.

There is no fiery burning HELL. The Hebrew word translated hell in the Bible means “the grave,” that is, the common grave of all dead mankind. The Bible is very clear in stating that the soul is subject to death, saying: “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4, 20) Also, The Catholic Douay Bible, at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, says: “The living know that they shall die, but the dead know nothing more. Neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly: for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge, shall be in hell [Sheol, AS], whither thou art hastening.” So, since the “dead know nothing more,” or as the King James Version says, “the dead know not any thing,” it would be impossible for them to know conscious torment. And since there is no work in hell, how can there be activity, red-hot or otherwise?

HEAVEN is where God and his faithful spirit family dwell. These are not creatures of blood and flesh, for they were created before our earth was created upon which we creatures of blood and flesh now live. Those heavenly “sons of God” are spirit, as God himself is, and they are absolutely distinct in nature from us earthly human creatures.

Heaven is also the seat of God's Kingdom (government). Those relatively few from the earth who go to heaven will have a specific purpose there. The Bible tells us that " ... they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.”—Revelation 20:4-6. Compare also (Rev. 5:6-10) This will benefit all mankind.

God created man from the earth to live on the earth. He did not create humans to live for a little while here on earth then go to live in heaven. Although we all grow old and die now because of Adam and Eve's rebellion, God’s original purpose for the earth will still be fulfilled. In the beginning it was God’s purpose for obedient humans to live forever in an earthly Paradise. And God never fails to accomplish what he purposes! His Word plainly promises: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Psalm 37:29.

For those of us who have lost loved ones, we have the very real hope of the resurrection and the opportunity to see our loved ones again right here on a paradise earth. The Bible tells how Jehovah will bring this about.

Great Question!

Most people at the times the letters were written in the Bible were not capable of reading. Thus the story of Jesus the Christ was preached, spoken, worshiped through word, deed, and action.

Every person struggles daily for that personal relationship with Jesus to grow and mature. Jesus Christ however conquered death completely so that every human life has a choice and pathway to heaven. Daily we must work at this and sometimes we falter, sometimes we do well.

Jesus Christ left us a way to cleanse our souls. Through His Church and community. We simply need to admit our failings, increase our prayer, and show we are sincere to living as Jesus wants us to live.

Yes. I am Catholic.

I don't know but as a Christian I'll be damned if I'm gonna suck the breast of the King just because the Bible tells me to. Nor am I gonna pluck out my eyeballs.
