Sarcasm is sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, a situation or thing. It is often used in a humorous manner and sometimes expressed through particular vocal intonations. Sarcasm is often expressed in ironical statements. It can sometimes be the sincerest form of discourse for the emotionally fragile. This is often done by simply over-emphasizing the actual statement, or particular words of it.

sarcasm: A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.

A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

For example:

A: I just accidentally cut myself with a knife, man, it hurts.
B: It hurts?? Usually when I cut myself, it feels so good.

Basically, it's stuff people say to make the other person feel stupid.

Sarcasm = ignore..

Typically I think of sarcasm as a thing to overlook.. and still go about my way..

It's a nice rainy day.. and suddenly a sarcastic acting person says.. SO SUNNY OUT!
I'm like.. -_- and your point is what? Lying? lol So instead of asking that I skip those 2 questions targeted at the person whom is using such opposite of truth logic.. and stick with the truth.. the truth is the path..

Sarcasm refers to a way of speech when the speaker says something in an overly obvious way to show the audience that they mean the exact opposite of what they say. (Ex. When you tell your best friend that "that supermodel in New York City was 'so fat.'")

It's usually used to imply a person is bad by telling them they are good.
For example, your girl friend has a bad hair day, so you say, "Gee! Your hair sure looks good today."
But of course you have to put the right expression on your face or she will think you are serious.
