Hatred isn't genetic. One might be more comfortable around ones own race through certain genes, but their genes can't cause them to hate another. For Homosexuality, all I know is my personal experience. I didn't choose to be Gay, but I did choose my sexual partner. I suppose I could have choose a female partner, but I just don't see the point. I've never been in love with a woman. I can see their beauty, but I don't find that sexually appealing. I've only been sexually attracted to other guys, and I'm currently in love with my boyfriend on an emotional level that I've never experienced with woman. I don't know if that's because of my genes or my environment, but I love who I love, and I can't change that.

That is something that we discussed in a few of my sociology classes.
The conclusions that we came up with were that things may appear to be genetic, but it could quite possibly be a case of "nature vs nurture". You see, if all down the family line, there is racism, most likely the next generation will also be racist. Not necessarilly because of a gene, but rather because that is the way that the child learns to see others... by what their family does.
Homosexuality was a "hotter" debate and we really got nowhere with it. I won't go into my opinion on it, because I'm not an expert and that would just be spouting off theory, and what you want is fact.
Hope that I have helped to shed some light on your question.

A strange selection to pair up in one question, homosexuality has a large genetic element as does heterosexuality, it is also determined by many other factors like the hormonal environment in the mothers womb and familial & sicietal influences plus lots of other thngs that are impossible to identify...but noe of these factors can be chosen, homosexuality is not a choice, it is a normal human variation like height or IQ.
Racism, is probably learned behaviour, cultural and societal prejudices picked up from family and friends etc.

Racism is not genetic........It's what you were raised to believe in.
Homosexuality could have some genetic traits.

Homosexuality yes, but racism while maybe not genetic certainly depends on your environment, that is the influence of your family, friends, workmates, teachers, etc.

both homoesexuality & racism aren't genetic.. both are considered genetic only if it's GENETICALLY transferable to their offsprings & following generations of the same bloodline...
people who are homosexual because they chose to be so, you are born either male or female, no-in-betweens gender.. if the father is gay, there isn't ANY possibility of the son or daughter being gay..if there were, it must be coincidential or influences from gay-peers & surroundings.
as for racism, our parents may influenced us in believing such things & being discriminating to others of different skin colour or religion, but in the end, it is up to us, who would make the call to truly believe it or go against it, we may even retaliate. this racism-mentality is not transfered through genes but through verbal communications.

homosexuality could be classified as geneticis. some men have more testosterone and some have more estrigene, everyone is different. racism is taught period. take a black baby and a white baby put them on an desserted island together and have them grow up together, they wouldn't give a seconds thought of each other skin colors or believes. it's taught by family and friends and the media doesn't help.
