Incentive is a motivating force that will allow you to begin to do something. However, you really have to WANT to achieve whatever it is you are endeavouring in. If a lack of self confidence becomes the brake that halts the train, it is possible that you initially lacked thought and preparation BEFORE beginning your task. Knowing who you are and what you are capable of as well as how much time and effort you may want to spend will help you to choose more wisely what task to take on. By actually COMPLETING your task, you will actually INCREASE your self confidence! You will appreciate having finished what you started and have the satisfaction of a work well done!...Added incentive for the NEXT TASK! In short...you need to make the EFFORT to FINISH what you start in order to INCREASE your self confidence! Good Luck!

Never say yes when your heart says no.
Gut feelings have always proven correct.
Live for yourself as everyone else puts their own interests first. People respect and admire those who take care of themselves... doormats go noplace.
Study the Enneagram and Myers Briggs Tempermant Indicatior so you may get a deeper understanding of your inner being.
When a person says something that throws your equilibrium out of whack... ask yourself this question... why is this person speaking to me like this? What is their motive? Do not fall into the trap of feeling obligated to anyone but yourself.
Thats it and good luck.

Dress in clothes that make you feel good and make you look good. Surround yourself with people that have only positive attitudes. If the people around you are upbeat and happy and confident you will be too. When you wake up in the morning just decide to be happy, if you can make other people smile by smiling than confidence will follow along on it's own.

Undertake tasks you feel are important and enjoyable and get the support of family and friends as much as possible. Do not try to do too many things at once and begin first, with things that are simple and easy to accomplish before you undertake those that are more difficult. That way, you will experience a degree of success, which in itself, will build your confidence before you become too challenged and then, give up;.

For one thing, and I don't mean this in a disparaging manner: Stop asking everyone else.........Your confidence comes mostly from within yourself, and should not be externally validated.
