If you have withdrawn $0.75 over available funds normally your bank would cover it without a problem. I have a question for you now, when you over withdrawn your account was it on a Saturday after the bank was closed for that day. If so, then so long as you deposited more funds before Monday morning then the bank shouldn't even notice that you had over withdrawn your account. If you over withdrew your account during the week, was it after the bank had closed for the day? If it was, did you have the money back in the bank before it opened for business the next day?

If you haven't actually gotten the NSF fee yet, the check sometimes takes a few days to clear through the bank, so get to the bank ASAP tomorrow morning and deposit the funds. Checks are usually deposited at most banks around 3pm. If you have already received the fee go talk to your bank (are you a long time customer, do you have a good history?) Then they MIGHT be willing to reverse it for you this once if you put the money in right away.

I do work at a bank, and if you deposit/transfer funds immediately to the account, you will still be in overdraft status until those funds clear your account, which is usually on a next days processing.

good luck!

That's something you have to take up with your bank individually. Sometimes if you can bring in your ledger and show them how it was an honest mistake they'll reverse or reduce the charge...but not always.

It cannot be avoided if the check goes through before the money goes in. Small chance maybe in a neighborly small town, but not in a hundred years in the big city.

That is up to the individual bank.
