Yep.

An answer I gave before...

Here's my take with the help of Dr Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham...

There are atheists here or there
There are atheists anywhere
There are atheists in a boat
They would not, could not, with a goat (Thank goodness)

There are atheists when it rains
There are atheists that ride a train
So please don't be such a troll
Somewhere, there's an atheist in a foxhole.

Sub "atheist" with agnostic or non-Christian or whichever you prefer.

The point that needs to be driven home here is that non-Christians are every bit as capable as Christians of having the courage of their convictions.

(Original Q addressed Christianity)

There is a significant population of atheists who previously served (or are currently serving) in the armed forces. So many that the Pentagon has an approved Athiest oriented symbol for their headstones at national cemetaries.

My friend Scott is an atheist and he's on a battle field in Iraq. But I'm pretty sure he's fighting for the fun of it and not yelling Allah Akbar.

Yes.
As most wars have been started or encouraged by theists you would imagine that everyone would be an atheist. Unless of course you enjoy killing or maiming people.
Get religion.....maim a child!

What? You mean a battle against religion? No, they just don't practice it.
Why is this so difficult for people to understand?

im sure the percentages of religions/non religions in the army are similar to the percentages that of the entire US... religion doesnt send people into the army... a love for the work and helping does.... actually mostly, poverty does... you dont have to be christian to be poor.
