Do I really have to buy into just one?
What if I just live life loving and respecting every and all person's/religion's.
Would I still get to the right place?

If you're a good and kind person and show respect for all, then I don't think you have to waste your time wondering where you'll end up. Some are going to tell you if you don't do it their way you are doomed, if you believe any way you are a fool, etc. Just go with your heart and trust yourself. I, for one, think it is very healthy and good of you to enjoy all. Blessed Be

You can respect everyone's religion, but you cannot believe in everyone's religion for yourself.

In this, Christianity is unique.

If you live a perfect life, indeed you will get to the right place.

Have you lived a PERFECT life? I don't mean 'good enough' or 'better than most people'. I mean PERFECT. Have you ever lied, even a little? Ever cheated? Ever taken the Lord's name in vain?

If you've ever broken the least law, then you're a sinner. If you're a sinner, you need another way to heaven.

God has provided that way in the person of Jesus Christ.

If you don't buy into Jesus, you don't go to heaven.

You can also use all the other good stuff from other religions, but you NEED Jesus.

For example, Judaism and Islam believe that Jesus is not the way to heaven. You can respect their belief, but if you believe what they believe about Jesus, then you're doomed.

You can life life loving and respecting every and all person's/religions and still get to heaven.

You MUST buy into Jesus and reject anything contrary.

I come from a family with many different religions (5 different ones!), and I find that all the religions practice the same things (e.g. love, tolerance, moral thoughts and behaviour). So no, I don't believe you have to buy into one only, although personally I feel that just choosing one which you really feel connected to can help you much better with your spirituality.

On a side note.. Is Big Red's answer intentionally meant to be funny?? Cos I laughed then I realized that maybe he wasn't joking...

I seriously hope that you cannot "accept all religions equally." Some people hold religious beliefs that are entirely pacifistic, while others belief in a deity that will grant them eternal bliss for executing nonbelievers.

If you can't make any moral judgment between the two, then you are extremely naive. Please grow up.

Edit:

The expectation that God will punish religious zealots after death is no excuse for humans to just accept them in life. To the extent that religiously fueled violence can be prevented, it should be. Waiting for God to judge people after they die does not prevent murderers from killing more people.

Churches in the West are becoming dens of thieves,
money changers, sellers of religious trinkets and
worldly music. Christ said that you have turned my
House of Prayer into a place of merchandise and
corruption such as the world has never seen.

Repent! Repent!

If this answer offends any of you devil worshipers,
take it up with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Don't mention God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, Holy
Ghost, Holy Bible, Church, Christians, sin, Religion or Spirituality if you don't
want to hear from me.

There is only one true living God. Not all religions share the same God. The Bible is very clear on how to worship Him. The Second Commandment states: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image of anything that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: For the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
My advice to you is; find a religion that keep all the commandments and join them.

I think you can accept all religions and all people...that's what I try to do myself even though I disagree with aspects of many of them--I don't subscribe to any established religion--I have my beliefs and they include being accepting and understanding of others.

As far as believing in every religion, this is probably not possible and some are in direct conflict with certain aspects of their beliefs.

You can respect all the religions but can't accept all of them because most of them teach the opposite of other religions while may share many similarities.
