The best bet would be to buy a business here, this allows you an E2 visa, whichmeans you can live here and earn here.
I have an established business for sale in sunny orlando florida, its an upscale day spa, fully staffed and a turn key operation. This business is 16 + years old and new on the market.
If this is of interest to you, I will give you details about my commercial real estate agent who will then assist you from there on how to make a smooth transition to the United states.
Thanks
Sessy

Canada is a very good Country. They don't start wars much. They also are not in debt like the USA is. Our trade Deficit is $63.8 billion and no end in site. Canada also has National Health care. In the USA 44 million Americans have no health care, half are women and children. Taxes in the USA will eat you alive if ya make any money at working for a living. If you are very wealthy than of course your investment income will be tax free.
This is how you decide.

What on Earth makes you want to move to the USA? Are you out of your mind, or just a masochist?
The world's worst and most evil country is begging for more people to come and do their dirty work. We all know that. But no one actually has to go there and become an American slave.
Think again and chose a decent country, if you want to live a decent life and be respected in the world!

This is a very big country.Everything depends on what you want .Do you want to be around people from your country?California has a China town. St.Louis has a large Russian population there. For small and safe go to the midwest. Missouri,Indiana,Illinois,Iowa,Kentucky,Tennisee .There are a lot of small towns in these states. Then there is the state of Alaska, where you are safe from people but might get eaten by a bear.

Pick a state- any state, and use your index finger and while closing your eyes, point to it. Then google that area that you picked on the map, and find a small town. Many small towns are still very safe and welcome newcomers.
I used to live in a small town before moving to an area with well over 500,000 people. I went from like 5,000 people in my town to moving to over 500,000 people. Huge change, and I can not wait to move back to a small town again. Less stress, and more beautiful and the homes are not built right on top of each other.

America is very large, and the average cost of a home can vary greatly from city to city and state to state. The weather is also extremely varied, from places that get several feet of snow and temperatures well below freezing to places that never get below 70 degrees year round. You need to do some research to narrow down your choice.

As long as you come here legally, you'll be welcomed with open arms by most Americans. Depends upon your qualifications for work as to where you might wind up. Most American cities have small towns near them and unless you settle in the Deep South, you'll find most Americans to be tolerant and will welcome you and your family with no problem. Your best bet would probably be in either the MidWest or Northeast.

Canada is a far safer and friendlier option. My family live in a small country town in California, and even that is rife with gangs.
