advantage is it is entertaing, but too much can make you fat and lazy.

From a personal standpoint, The advantages of television are those that educate the mind. It allows you to learn, see and experience new things that you could've never thought possible. It is also informative so that you are aware of what current events that may have affect on your well being or that of your country of Origin. Ofcourse, seeing and experiencing through the eyes of others is no equal to real life experience. Which leads to the disadvantages. The disadvantages are that it is like a dream. You are experiencing someone else's adventures while you are sitting wasting your precious time. We now have reality shows that have sprung up all over the world. Some of these shows only provide information on the glamour but not the reality of what it takes to be there. They also provide our younger generation with rebelious thoughts from thinking that it is ok to mimmick the ignorance of others.
I could go on and possibly write a book about my thoughts. But in all honesty, who listens?????

I see more advantages that Disadvantages.
The main advantage would be learning new things, getting to know places, Infotainment etc. The disadvantage will be if a person uses it for all bad reasons and get addicted to it. Everything for that matter should be done moderately.
Good programing would always change the way you think and give you more insight + ability to see stuff that you might never ever see in your real life.

watching tv is a great fun ,u can pass ur time watching it
remaining in one corner of ur room u can know about the whole world and besides,it can cause bad effect on u as when u get to watch tv u get glued in front of ur tv seat and u get lazy .ur precious time get wasted

advantage? u can get all information on everything.
disadvantage? u can get excessive information on everything which is not needed
