Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to help with this? I am on meds for it and still can't seem to get out from underneath it all. I am to the point where it seems like life is never going to get better and I don't know how to turn things around.....can anyone help me out?

There must things in your life keeping you from achieving inner peace. Some of issues in life we encounter are difficult to deal with and at times we need to admit there is nothing we can do about it and must put them behind us and move on.
Its not easy but it will allow you space for that inner peace and help to lift your depression and banish your anxiety.
I often feel that society demands the quick fix approach to our emotional troubles, whem really being able to talk about them unjudgementally is more therapeutic.
Find someone you can talk to who can help you journey through this painful part of the road that you are facing..

I have had this problem before except my problems worsened when I was on medication therapy. I'm not suggesting get off your medicines but there are ways to help!

A couple things you can do at home that may help:
Yoga -- its relieving and it gives a peace of mind. Look for yoga exercises online or go by the library and check out a book about it.
Have a potty trained companion animal --- a dog can lick you and a cat can cuddle next to you.

To HELP organize your life:
At night analyze your events and prioritze and maybe even rid of some. Like work and doctor appointments for mental health AND marriage love life first and drinking parties last.

To even better help:
If you are around negative people -- get away from them and go near positive thinkers that can help in some cases.

In the May 2005 issue of Discover magazine is an article on a non-profit company called True Hope (www.truehope.com). They assert that depression, along with other mental disorders is simply a result of nutritional deficiency. Their story is in this article.

You can download the Discover magazine article at www.discover.com, click on archives tab, look for article called "vitamin cure".

True Hope developed a vitamin/mineral supplement used to counteract these nutritional deficiencies. They have already helped thousands of people, including my daughter. I speak from personal experience. My daughter had severe clinical depression, along with severe anxiety. For 8 years she was on several psychiatric medications which didn't help much at all. I tried True Hope because I was desperate to help my daughter, I figured I had nothing to lose in trying.

After 2 months on their program daughter was off all psych meds and her depression and anxiety both cleared up. Now 7 months later she is still free of these debilitating symptoms. Yes she can still get upset, but it is more of a normal human thing. When upset now she gets over it quickly - not the same as that black pit of depression where there is no escaping.

Just so you know, eliminating psych meds is a process, easier for some than for others. In order to have success with their product you really need to talk with True Hope so they can explain how their program works and help you eliminate your meds safely.

If nothing else is helping you, I strongly urge you to try this. When you buy their product they give you free, unlimited telephone support to help you have success. My daughter could not have achieved these wonderful results without their help. Note: people at True Hope are not doctors or any other type of medical professionals. They offer guidance and support based on their experiences in seeing thousands of people use their product and be helped by it. Visit their website or call them, to see what they have to say. Good luck. I hope you find the relief you are seeking. My daughter did.

It sounds like you are on the right track by seeing someone and taking mediation's..but it is going to take some time and perhaps you need some different medications..you know it takes a while for the meds to affect you ina positive way..I would certainly let my physician or mental health clinician know how you are feeling so they can help you as you get this thing turned around..you are not alone..more people today are getting help for mental health issues and on medications..you are the smart ones..so often people will try this on their own and not seek help..you are brave and recognize that you need help which is the first step toward getting your life together and facing all the challenges we have today..good luck and god bless...

Your meds may not be the correct meds for you, I'm bipolar and it took nearly five years to get the right combination (for now) that worked to get me feeling this good. I also do some therapy, talking about problems never hurt a soul. As far as turning things around, you have to try and find something to give you meaning. Something that will give you a goal to reach for, a star to lead you. Nothing will get better unless you try to make it better yourself. Sorry, it's the cold truth. Remember, obstacles are those ugly things we see when we take our eyes off our goal. I hope I helped you in some way.

I was in the very same situation once. I also became concerned that I would stay ill forever. I then decided to get a puppy to help me and it did help. That dog saved me and now ten years later I am actually happy and was so glad I made that decision. The healing started almost straight away.
There is an end to this I assure you. It can take time but don't give up and think it won't. It is like any illness. Time is the main thing toward healing. Best wishes...

everyday for 3 and a half month i would get a panic attack at least 10 times a day..i couldnt live right anymore and it was taking over my life.it was a serious problem for me i couldnt even eat anymore becasue i would tense up and my my food would get stuck in my throat...then one day i woke up and it was just all gone....never came back again..i had baught zoloft and it is still sitting on my desk as we speak never took one..3 days after i got it..i never even needed to use them, poof it was all gone..try getting off the medication even though it may not seem like its addicting and isnt an addicting substance in your subconcious you get dependent on it to make it through your day..fight it..its all in your mind and nothing can help you but yourself...call a friend at night play a game pick up somthing new buy a guitar and learn to play keep yourself busy from morning to night, make a schedual of things to do..you can and will get through it no amount of meds and doctors can help you at the point you are at...i just learned that wking up in the morning and opening my windows and feeling the breeze and smelling the air was more then enough reason to just let go and live a little..no use holding on to worries and things if it gets to the point where it prevents you from even wanting to live or live good in general..just let go of all of it..good luck i hope the best for you and i hope i helped in someone or another.~al

There must be some reason which troubled you. You feel depression and anxiety, -do yos self-counciling yourself? Then go for a councilor, he makes your mental condition good and you will be happy again, or if you know the reason then try to fight for that, don't get nervous. Our life is full of joy , sometimes we have to face critical moments,- you should overcome it - best wishes, then tell me.
