Islam & Christianity were the same religion, but now they are different becuase
1-the Christians changed the words of God to suit thier own desires.
"From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done. Quran 5:14

2- the Quran was not changed and nobody will ever be able to change it as Allah has promised to keep his words same as they were revealed to prophet Mohammed until the day of judgement.
"Say: "If the whole of mankind and jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.
( Quran 17:88)

therefore, muslims believe that christianity is different in the way it is today. but they respect the prophet Moses and believe in the original Towrah & Injeel

Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)." Quran 2:136

People love to hate, they love drama, they are arrogant, and they hate to read. That's why they only see the differences and not the similarities.

If you do a study, you can cross-reference the Bible and Qur'an 'til kingdom come. Yes, both books share stories like Creation and Noah's ark, and both say that Jesus was born of a virgin. You'll also see stuff about anger, forgiveness, honesty, fidelity to spouses, humility, kindness to parents, etc etc.

If people do even a little research, and I don't mean by watching Fox News, they'll see so much in common between these two religions.

Islam like most "religions" has been misguided by "SATAN" and are cults. Christianity is the believing in the scriptures of the Bible from its beginning all additions and changes did not come from GOD but man. All cults and "religions" partly rely on self actualisation as does Islam. Islam and Christianity are as far apart as the further est galaxies

Both religions hold exclusive keys to heaven. They need to concentrate on the differences between them as much as possible to keep people from gravitating from one to the other.

Also, it's been said that you hate that which is most similar to you. Both religions have been demonising each other since during Muhammad's life.

But there are some great people on both sides working on interfaith dialogue. It might take some time, but they'll get there eventually...

If God wanted, we would all be one people. That is not part of His plan. He made us different and allows for different religions to keep each other in check.

If they have a good understanding and interpretation of their religion. I think they are not much of a difference from the other religion.

Well, one is based on the bible, and the emphasis is on Jesus, the son of God, while the other is based on the Quran and is about the life of the prophet Muhammad, other than that they are identical I guess.

I don't see any Americans hijacking Tel Aviv airplanes and flying them into Bagdad in the the name of Jesus.

I see no similarity!

in arabic 'Allah' means 'God'.

Islam uses the word "Allah"

In Christainity 'God' means "The Father,The Son,The Holy Sprit" which Islam denies.

Islam says "there is no God but Allah"

now that's different.
