Why do many people tell lies about Islamic religion?

When I read what many people say here I get chocked,some people beleive that muslims worship the moon! or the Kaa'ba
or the black rock,some people say that muslims worship satan..
where did all these lies come from?
we beleive in God,God who sent all prophets from Adam
through Noah,Moses and Jesus to Muhammad(God's belssing be upon them all)
Why do many people think that muslims are obsessed with sex and that having sex in the next lives is their motives?
If sex was owr motive then it's easier to have it now in this life
Why don't people get their knowlege about Islam from trusted scientific books instead of extreme rightests who replaced racism against the black with racism against muslims or from people who
see all religions as an old fashion?
my message is get your knowlege from respected resources not from opposite or racist media

Islam is the opposite of terrorism.
islam is beileving in one god ,,
there r a lot of bogused web sites which picture islam badly ..
plus what media says about islam which is all pullshit not true ..
Islam means being Muslim, which means being peaceful & merciful..
That what Islam is all about .. forgiven & peace ..

One of the best prove of what I am saying is the prophet Mohammed & his way
of treating people ..
How he was an Inspiration & a good example for Muslims .. Even in wars
he was telling his men not to hurt a child or a woman or an old man or any one without a Weaponthe or even cutting a tree ..
how he was treating with Christians & Jews .. how much he was kind and gentle ,,
how he was forgiving his Jewish neighbor who was treating him in a bad way (peace be upon him)
& how he visited that Jewish man when he got sick..
prophet mohammed was from the biggest & most honor families in makkah but he wasn't
a racist & he was fighting racism the best story I can remeber about that is the one with
Belal (an african man was working for one of the makkah masters) & that man was treating Belal
very bad and he was hurting him .. and when Belal heard about islam he was very glad of that religion which doesn't care about

after he relaized the real islam he became a muslim and when his master knew that he went so much far in beating and hurting him ..but Belal didn't

Islam is great.. and Islam's enemies know that .. that's y they don't want Islam to stand strong.

Read what Qu'an says about the relationship between Islam and other religions;
2 : 62 Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve .
2 : 109 Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth (that Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allahs Messenger) has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allah brings His Command. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.
2 : 256 There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghoot and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.


3 : 20 So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His ) slaves.
3 : 64 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims."
3 : 65 O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you dispute about Ibrahim (Abraham), while the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) were not revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?
3 : 113 Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allah during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer.
3 : 114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Maroof (Islamic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad SAW) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad SAW); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous.
3 : 115 And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knows well those who are Al-Muttaqoon (the pious - see V.2:2).
3 : 116 Surely, those who reject Faith (disbelieve in Muhammad SAW as being Allahs Prophet and in all that which he has brought from Allah), neither their properties, nor their offspring will avail them aught against Allah. They are the dwellers of the Fire, therein they will abide. (Tafsir AtTabaree, Vol. 4, Page 58).
3 : 199 And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account.


4 : 162 But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) and what was sent down before you, and those who perform AsSalat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and believe in Allah and in the Last Day, it is they to whom We shall give a great reward.


5 : 69 Surely, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messenger Muhammad SAW and all that was revealed to him from Allah), those who are the Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, - whosoever believed in Allah and the Last Day, and worked righteousness, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.


there is no compulsion in Islam;

10 : 99 And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad SAW) then compel mankind, until they become believers.
10 : 100 It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allah, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless.


20 : 130 So bear patiently (O Muhammad SAW) what they say, and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day (an indication for the five compulsory congregational prayers), that you may become pleased with the reward which Allah shall give you.


20 : 132 And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them (i.e. the Salat (prayers)). We ask not of you a provision (i.e. to give Us something: money, etc.); We provide for you. And the good end (i.e. Paradise) is for the Muttaqoon (pious - see V.2:2).


20 : 135 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Each one (believer and disbeliever, etc.) is waiting, so wait you too, and you shall know who are they that are on the Straight and Even Path (i.e. Allahs Religion of Islamic Monotheism), and who are they that have let themselves be guided (on the Right Path).

Maybe it's because we're still mad about 9/11. Maybe it's because al Quaeda is made up of Islamic fundamentalists. Maybe it's because the Palestinians have tried to expand their conflict with Israel by asking Muslim nations for help.

It's too bad that Americans don't get to see the daily media in Muslim countries. If we did, we'd have been less surprised at how much hatred Muslims have for America. If we'd seen how many lies and distortions and anti-Christian and especially anti-Jewish statements are made in Muslim media, we wouldn't have been so surprised.

People tend to lump trouble together, especially when that trouble is other people and more so if those other people are very different. I am married to an Asian woman, I'm from UK. Whenever I live in other countries I try to blend in, accept the local culture and religion, become part of the local community and do good works for them. However, it would be difficult for me if those that represented my country, religious beliefs and ethos, danced on the streets while the worlds press filmed them screaming with joy because the twin towers of the un-believers fell. I would want to gather thousands of people of my own faith and protest against my fellow countrymen or those I am being linked with. I would want to beg those who have allowed me to live amongst them, to forgive me for being of the same faith as anyone who could use that faith to kill Innocent people. I would publicly renounce my faith and become a member of whatever the dominant faith of my adopted country is. I would never want to be seen or heard, trying to defend or justify any savages or their efforts to start a third world war. If I could not live with these changes to my philosophy or theological beliefs, I would return to the country that supports whatever it is I wanted to become. I wish the west would get out of every battle involving religious nuts, tell them they have won and leave them alone, allow them their ethnic cleansing and mind washing of children. See what happens when they have nobody to kill.

you are right of course but people beleave what they hear in the media but I have read the quran and been on islamic chat rooms and still get the impresune young muslims beleave its good to kill none muslims and the quran indourses that. and the quran does say to kill your brother if he leaves the faith so how can any one in islam have a choice if you are born to muslim perants you are traped for ife.
