Ok so Madonna is into kabala right which stems from Judaism and to be Jewish you have to come from a long line of Jewish blood…its obvious that Madonna is not Jewish…so is it just trendy to be Jewish?

It's quite possible to convert into Judaism. Others have.

You do not have to come from a long line of "Jewish Blood" to be Jewish. I am Jewish and I converted more than 5 years ago.

Your mother's side of the family would have to be Jewish in order for her to be Jewish and it would go back only as far as her grandmother (mother's - mother) for to be Jewish and then would still have to go through all of the usual rituals.

Yes, Madonna thinks she is Jewish because she studies Kabala. This does not make anyone Jewish. You must be seen by a Rabbi and have gone through a long and in depth process of becoming Jewish and to be recognized by the State of Israel as being Jewish.

I find if offensive that she claims to be Jewish when she does not know much about being Jewish.

Well, you know, they get too famous and they have to keep getting weirder to keep people, including themselves, interested. Prince is the same. I used to love that guy; never thought I'd lose it. Shoooot, for that matter, didn't we all used to love Michael Jackson? Some just get weirder than others. It's a fame thing.
Regarding Jewishness ;) it does seem to be in style right now to be Jewish, which would tick me right off if I were a Jew.
I don't think Madonna's workout schedule would allow her to go through the process of coverting and I'm not altogether sure anyone would approve her conversion anyway. She just bought a buncha red strings and called it good. Kabala isn't really judaism anyway; she's clueless.

Being born Jewish (as a group of people) and accepting the Jewish religion are not the same thing. Too many people confuse the two.

Being born into a family of Southern Baptists does not make you a Southern Baptist. The great Sammy Davis, Jr. converted to Judism.

I suppose Madonna is seeking spirituality and she found it in the Kabbalah. I am a Muslim however the Kabbalist practice is very interesting. If it intrigues you, there are many online resources about the Kabbalah.
