I think Smoke should never be allowed in public places because Smoking has prove not be bad only for the one whom is smoking but for those around the smoker that are breading the smoke too. In resume I don't think only one person, in this case the smoker has the right to make a choice that is not limited to damage their own health but others people too.

No smoking should not be banned. If it was to be banned why not ban drinking, cars, food, cleaning materials cause believe it or not they all kill people. The laws on smoking have become crazy. Ok I do believe people shouldnt smoke in areas where there is food but they should make areas available in all public places for smokers to be able to sit down and enjoy a smoke if that is what they choose to do. I live in Australia and I always thought that this was a free country. Seems that is no longer true.

I am completely against smoking but I do not believe that banning it would solve anything. I live in NY where you can not smoke indoors anywhere that is public. I love it. When I go to other states I notice the difference the moment I walk into a restaurant or bar. I have friends and family who smoke and I am annoyed when they smoke inside but I don't think that my annoyance or dislike for something should make it a law....

Would you also want to take away chewing gum?
Imposing on others personal desires to smoke is not right. Having rules so that others dont get second hand smoke problems is right.
But not telling the world you cannot now smoke!
Thats dictatorship of the worst kind.

Not at all. I'm not a smoker but I believe that when you say someone can't smoke at all, that's taking away their rights as a human to make choices. I can see not smoking in restaurants or certain bars, but all together, it's a violation of rights.

gosh there're too many smokers in the world, it'll be close to impossible to eliminate or change all of them ,and probably no one will ever try...maybe they hav the idea that some smokers are like able to put lead thru their heads faster than one can say bobs your uncle. perhaps its too risky. i do like the idea of no smokers tho..good for everyone's health :)
