What is the general Muslim reaction to the recent news reports that Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) has abandoned Islam and moved to Salt Lake City in Utah to become a Mormon?

The Muslim community is devastated and humiliated, they are so embarrassed by this because they used his name so much for endorsement.

My personal reaction is doubt, but I'm not Muslim. Or Mormon.

My reaction is that I will eat one extra bread today for myself if it's true or not. He is responsible for his own actions and will be questioned for them at the final day.

I would imagine their reaction would be one of disbelief, since it's not true; he's on the terrorist watch list and isn't allowed into the United States.

well i suppose they all want to kill him and take it upon themselves to play god and punish him for his actions, most Muslims like to give god a hand and do all the judging and punishing before he reaches judgment day, hhehehe i suppose they think god might let him off lightly and they just cant bear to see that, they like to see people PUNISHED HARD!!!!!!!!!
They are such a loving religion i cant wait to revert.
