Why are there still conflicts between these two countries? They are fighting even before I was born! What were the reasons?

I'm not sure if these two countries even understand their reasons for continuing the conflicts. It seems that these conflicts have continued through the ages. Perhaps, the leaders of the respective countries need a panel of arbitrators who could give them some alternatives to fighting and who could suggest a peaceful resolution to the issues that have confronted them for decades.

All this trouble exploded after WW2. During the war the Allies made agreements to both the Jewish community and Palestinian community around the Holy Land. The agreement was that if they helped to fight the Axis power that they would each receive their own country since neither of them had anything to call their own country. Both groups accepted. After the war though, with the revealing of the Holocaust, everyone wanted to somehow give back to the Jews so they gave the whole Holy Land to what is now the country of Israel to the Jews. This happening they forgot totally about the Palestinians and have still now fulfilled on their deal. The war that is fought today is that the Palestinians want a land that they can call their own. They are a group of people that are lost in other peoples land. Israel all the while will not give up any of their land to give to the Palestinians. So there has been a constant battle for the creation of a new country solely being Palestine.

It doesn't really have to do with religion. It has to do with the land of Israel which was given back to the Jews in the late 1940s by the UN. Obviously, the Palestinians who lived on this land did not react well to this idea and began to fight against the Jews almost immediately after the Jews moved back. It is not an easy problem to resolve. The Palestinians lived on this land but remember it belonged to the Jews before the Palestinians occupied it. Jesus lived in Israel. This was about 2,000 years ago. There will be no peace in the middle east between Israel and Hamas and Hasbalah. These two terrorist groups are sponsored by Iran and Syria and as long as these two nations keep sending these two groups money and arms peace will not prevail. The president of Iran stated on several occasions that he wants to see the Jews Israel swept into the sea. Does this sound like a quest for peace? Syria is harboring members of Hasbala openly and obviously will not allow anyone into Syria to capture them. The UN passed an amendment that Lebanon was to take all arms from Hasbala and stop them from shooting missiles into Israel. Of course, this never happened and now Israel is going after Hasbala in an all out offensive. Remember, Hasbala killed over 200 Marines when we had troops over there many years ago. They hate Israel and the USA and have said so openly. Will there be peace? I ask you.

Because the Israelis want all the land, not some of it, and ethnic cleansing and genocide are the only way to do it.

The land belongs to both the jews and Palestinians, but neither wants to share. The Israelis happen to have the weapons needed to commit the largest terrorist acts.

They could live in peace with each other except for the religious extreemists on both sides.
Many Palestinians and Israelis worked with each other in the same workplace. They treated each other as workmates, but when religion creeps in it ruins everything.

Because the US props up Israel to te cost of billions of out tax money. When the US enters the fray, Israel listens. Have you ever not wondered why would something a US president says has such an effect on Israel. This part has nothing to do with someone being Jewish or Arab. If we supported Chili with billions of support and Peru, almost nothing, then Chili would bully Peru, until the US said "stop". And believe me Chili would stop. Wouldn't you?

Mainly religion. Plus the Jews are Gods chosen people and have allows been attacked because of it. They will have peace one day though. The Bible has prophesied it and the Bible has never been wrong. There will be a peace treaty signed one day but then the anti-christ will break the covenant after seven years.

To my knowledge, the fighting began over the Gaza strip. Both countries claim ownership over it to an extent, although I believe it technically belongs to Palestine. Israel agreed to remove their settlements from there, which was a great step to peace, but now the progress has reversed several years.

Best wishes.

Let me rephrase that question. Why can't the Palestinians be at peace with the Palestinians.

They would very much like to be at peace with all the world.
But the Jew haters have never given up for 5000 years.
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
