I just came out of a relationship in which at times was abusive and I wanted to know if it is acceptable to forgive the guy if you provoked the fight. If I confronted him with regards to cheating or porno he would get very upset and physical and we would start fights. There were times though were I would shove and push him back and we would start physical fights or other situations in which he wanted to be demanding and he would break my belongings, he would be in a frustrated mood . So in situations like that, should've I forgiven him. The relationship is over now but I would like to know if forgiveness was a option.

You both need to move on...Being physical in that way is a unhealthly relationship for both of you...He hits you, or you hit him, whats up with that!!! Why be with someone you have to fight with, it makes no sense!!!! MOVE ON :)

well, i the situation where you confronted him about cheating or porno, i dont think you really provoked it... you were asking him and then the situation escalated... so this really wasnt your fault at all! so now the question is, is it forgivable for a guy to hit you if it wasnt provoked at all? and i think the answer is no... at no point in time should a guy hit a woman...

It is not proper for either one of you to put your hands on the other and once it has started it is likely to never stop i have been with the same man for 12 years and he has broken about everything you can imagine and it still hasn't changed. Its OK to forgive but never forget and don't take the chance that things will change because in my experience they don't

It sounds like you're a trouble maker. He shouldn't forgive you unless you go to anger management class.
